1 starAs a wedding professional *********************************************** did not work out for me as described or as promised. No leads in an entire year despite doing everything I was instructed to do to make my storefront look it's best. Lots of inquiries, most of them spam leads. Terrible customer service. Not worth the money. I will never subscribe to this service ever again.

I feel like a year of my life was robbed by following up with fake leads constantly and thinking I was doing something wrong because they never responded. I want my life time back! What an unscrupulous, greedy, company. If someone else hasn't already we'll be starting to file a class action lawsuit against them. Let us know if you'd like to join!

I had the same frustrating experience others have mentioned. I received random, irrelevant inquiries like "my wedding colors are blue and green" or "my wedding vibe is rustic"—with no prior messages or real engagement. That’s when it became crystal clear to me that the system was broken. I immediately marked my calendar to cancel three weeks before my contract ended.
When I finally got in touch with my rep, they told me, “I’m not sure you can cancel—your contract is renewing.” I responded firmly and without hesitation: I was not going to play the game this company is known for. My contract still had three weeks left, and I was canceling—period. I even made it clear I’d contact the Fair Trade Commission and my attorney if they tried to prevent me from doing so.
They continued pushing back, to the point that I had to mention financial hardship just to get them to stop trying to convince me otherwise. The entire experience was a nightmare.

I had advertised with The Knot/WW from 2023-2024 for our floristry business. I'm confident they wasted months of my time and money. After complaining to our rep about our monthly rate, (I heard someone else was paying a lot less than me for the same coverage) they reassured me it was worth our while, my rate was the lowest they offered, and my booking methods could be improved on (and I'm not perfect, I'm sure they could be.) Yet when we had real brides reach out via instagram/directly though our website, we were able to book almost all of them. They also reassured me it was engagement season, from Christmas/NYE/Valentines Day and I would be receiving dozens of inquiries come spring. Each time I tried to lower our rate/complain about the lack of bookings, I was flooded with inquiries days later. (which I was naive enough to think were real at the time, but now I recognize the pattern and know better.) Getting a hold of our rep was like pulling teeth- if I emailed them, I couldn't ever converse via email, only set up a scheduled phone call. These scheduled phone calls were booked weeks out, and ALWAYS after the next billing cycle. Once I made up my mind about canceling, I emailed asking to terminate my contract. Our rep responded saying they were on vacation for the next month, I could only cancel over the phone, and they would have to change my account rep so I could be serviced sooner. (I swear this was all a lie just to buy them more time.) A week or so had passed- and my new rep contacted me with their phone schedule. Of course, their earliest availability was after the next billing cycle. Eventually upon talking to them, they said there was a misunderstanding- only our original rep had the ability to cancel our contract, they were only a temporary handler. Truly nonsense. Once my original rep "returned" I scheduled a phone conversation with them, and surprise surprise...their earliest convenience was just a day or two after I would be billed for the following month. I also complained about this, only to be told it's truly their earliest convenience. During those weeks, I was again flooded with dozens of inquiries that didn't pan out. When I asked to terminate our contract, they now told me it was not even possible as I hadn't been a member for a full year. I was never told this in my original signing- I was specifically told I could cancel at any time- which I confidently believe to this day. They said they would have to find the audio file of the original conversation to confirm this, and would get back to me ASAP with a resolution. I waited 2 months, no follow up. Billed for 2 more months. I emailed and set up another phone call, reminded them that this was an issue- and was 100% ignored this time around. Out of sheer frustration and worry about running our young company broke, I simply canceled our card on file with them and waited for them to contact me with proof that I was in the wrong. I was eventually emailed asking to update my payment method, which I responded to simply begging to be canceled. Never heard back from them anyone after that.

It seems like many other companies, I joined WeddingPro (The Knot and Wedding Write). I spoke with a nice sales lady, that is all she was and we got sucked in big time. She told us that we have no problem getting business on their platform especially since we are in the *******, ** area and there were only 14 other photographers in our area. All I have received except for 1 lead has been nothing but scams. I just reported someone today, June 23rd, 2025 because they claimed they could not use my service for payment and I need to give them my bank information for a Wire Transfer to receive payment. I get endless "leads" that completely ignore what I say and immediately insist on a zoom meeting which they have to setup and I have to use their links. We (my wife and I) were told we would receive plenty of business entrusting this company with out advertising needs. We explicitly told the sale lady that we were limited on funds and already struggled but she did such a great pitch that we got suckered into signing up with high hopes of making some money. I signed my contract (biggest mistake I've made all year) on 5/12/2025. They set you up for 12 months locked in to their scam of a network of fake leads. It costs me $327.60 per month to get endless scam leads. This is not business. This company is a scam in itself.I immediately tried cancelling my contract just a few weeks in because I could already tell this was not good. I got a phone call from one of the "support" members and they gave me some higher rank sponsored badge on The Knott which I haven't received a single lead from. Look, I don't know if there is anything that can be done but this company is a pit of lying vipers and I really need the contract cancelled if possible. They are eating up my money with ZERO benefits. We have gotten more leads from ******** for FREE and they have been genuine, real leads unlike this service im paying hundreds of dollars for.Contract number ******** if that helps.

And the reps, once you sign the contract go AWOL! You’ll never hear from them again! Reached out several times to discuss my agreement/contract and zero returned calls. This is fraud.

1 starI had a frustrating experience with WeddingWire/The Knot (The Wedding Pro). Customer support was unhelpful, and their rigid, deceptive practices hurt my small business. I spent $8,000 on an annual contract, expecting bookings based on their promises. I got just one elopement and two weddings far from covering costs, leaving me with no profit after ads. Theres no way to track ROI, and youre locked in.Adjusting or canceling is a ordeal. You cant do it onlineonly through an account specialist focused on retention. Changes must be requested over five days before billing, a detail hidden in fine print. I emailed just before this cutoff to adjust my plan, faced a 40-minute retention call, and was told cancellation wasn't possible. They offered an adjustment, but sent a year-long bottom tier contract despite discussing month-to-month. I flagged this via email, but got no reply until after a $689 charge hit. A later call claimed the year contract was month-to-month, unclear until then. I didnt sign due to this confusion, yet they insisted Id been **************** showed no empathy, treating me like a number. Their inflexibility cost my business while they profited. The Wedding Pro dominates the market but prioritizes their gain over vendors. I urge photographers to seek promotion elsewhere my experience was a financial loss.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with WeddingWire/The Knot (The Wedding Pro). Their customer support was unhelpful, and their business practices felt deceptive and rigid, ultimately harming my small business rather than supporting it.
I invested over $8,000 in an annual contract, expecting a worthwhile return based on their promises of increased bookings. However, I secured only one elopement and two weddings—far from enough to offset the cost, leaving me with virtually no profit after advertising expenses. The platform offers no clear way to evaluate ROI, and their system locks you in without flexibility.
Adjusting or canceling your contract is a nightmare. You can't do it independently online—you're forced to speak with an account specialist, whose primary goal seems to be retention rather than resolution. Worse, changes or cancellations must be requested more than five days before the billing cycle, a detail buried in fine print. In my case, I emailed just before this deadline to adjust my plan, only to endure a 40-minute retention call where I was told cancellation wasn't possible due to timing. They offered to adjust my plan with supervisor approval, but what followed was a bait-and-switch.
I received a new contract labeled as their "bottom tier" for another full year, despite our phone discussion about switching to month-to-month billing. I immediately flagged the discrepancy via email, noting the contract didn't reflect our agreement. My specialist didn't respond until after the weekend, by which time I'd been charged $689 for the incorrect plan. Monday's follow-up call revealed more confusion: another representative claimed the year-long contract was month-to-month, a contradiction that wasn't clarified to me prior. I refused to sign due to this lack of transparency, but they insisted I'd been "informed" via the contract terms.
The customer service team showed zero empathy, treating me like a number rather than a struggling small business owner. Their inflexible policies and lack of accountability left me feeling taken advantage of. My business suffered financially from this partnership, while they profited at my expense. The Wedding Pro dominates the market, but their practices prioritize their bottom line over the vendors they claim to support. I strongly caution other photographers against investing here—look elsewhere for promotion that actually benefits your business.

I signed a vendor contract with WeddingPro (The Knot Worldwide) for a 12-month listing starting April 8, 2025, after a very pushy and high-pressure sales process. I was not given time to think it over or review alternatives. The *** strongly over-promised results and assured me I would start getting client inquiries immediately after completing my storefront setup.I followed every instruction, completed my profile, and maintained a professional presence but nearly every lead I received was spam or completely irrelevant to my services. Despite doing my part, I received no return on investment and no legitimate business opportunities. I no longer have the original spam inquiry emails because they were either purged by Gmail or viewable only through the WeddingPro vendor portal. However, the lead quality was so consistently poor that I began disregarding the notifications altogether. When I requested to cancel, I was shocked to learn I would still be charged monthly through April 2026, even though the contract hadnt started yet. Instead of receiving a proper response, my email was routed to a separate brand (The Bump), which has no authority over vendor accounts.I do not consent to being charged for a service that clearly failed to deliver. I am requesting immediate cancellation and confirmation that no additional charges will occur.
I have also filed a formal complaint with the ************************ regarding this matter submitted on June 18, 2025. A follow-up report was submitted documenting the companys conflicting messages and refusal to cease contact after cancellation confirmation.

Wedding Pro was made aware on May 9th that I wanted to cancel my upcoming contract. I signed my contract with Wedding Pro on March 21st 2025, and up to that point, the way of cancelling your contract was by emailing their support team, or by calling their support team. I was not made aware of any changes, and so I emailed on May 9th to cancel. I was emailed back on May 12th stating that I needed to log into my back office and cancel on my own, which I was unaware of even being a possibility. Upon speaking with many "account specialists" I was told that the terms and conditions of the website changed and that I "must have agreed to them" if I was able to log into my back office and see the cancellation button. I disputed this by saying I was not aware that my contract, my legal and signed contract with Wedding Pro, was changing. They said that this allowed the change to happen, despite my knowledge of it. I am told that I will be billed for the upcoming contract month of May 21-June 21, despite having given notice on May 9th via email, which was within my contract with Wedding Pro and the terms of my contract. Wedding Pro has stated that they will not consider the extreme circumstances of my case (the changes made to their back office, the fact that I gave notice more than 10 days prior to my next billing cycle per my original contract terms). I have proof of my contract, and my emails to them. I am not understanding how clicking "I agree to changes in terms and conditions" would change my contract with Wedding Pro and allow them to do this? I was NOT made aware that any website terms and conditions would change the ORIGINAL AGREED UPON TERMS OF MY CONTRACT.

I signed up with The Knot / WeddingPro in January 2025 while at work on a phone call with one of their sales ***resentatives. 1 starWe are one of the premiere wedding bands in our area, and we decided to sign up for wedding wire. Its been about 7 months, and about 95% of all leads we have received through WW are a scam or spam. We receive leads that reach out with canned messaging asking if were available on x date, then theyll reach out again with the same messaging asking if were available on a different date. We recently received a lead that asked if we can play for their wedding, then asked for our phone number. I called them, and the person had a thick accent with a California area code. Were based in **, but my cell # area code is VA. The person then said he needs us to play for his 5th wedding anniversary, and his wife is in the hospital. I went along with it, and asked where the venue is located. He texted me a VA residential address while I was on the phone, and I told him we are based in **. He apologized and said he sent the wrong address by mistake. I stopped him and said I know this is a scam and he abruptly hung up. I have the convo recorded. This is just a sample of our experience with WW. We book about 15 weddings a year, and that trend has continued, though all of our biz still comes through our other channels. It would be better if we received no leads instead of almost all scam/spam leads. Its a waste of our time, and costs about $350/month. They will not let us out of our contract, and we are looking into legal action. They have an F rating on BBB, and I totally understand why. I believe this is consumer fraud, and they are scamming small businesses out of their hard earned money.

1 starThis was the WORST business mistake I made. I signed up for the Knot thinking it would generate leads and business for my event planning business. Instead, they drove my business into the ground with their high monthly charges and terrible customer service. I spoke to (2) two different customer service **** and was ASSURED that I could cancel my contract at ANY TIME. I tried to cancel my contract after paying for two months - two months with (0) ZERO credible leads (any "lead" turned out to spam or bots). I sent several emails, called and spoke with different ****, and spoke with my account manager - all to be told that I signed a contract that would last for (12) months and there was "nothing we can do about it". I asked to speak to supervisors and was told that wasn't an option. I was told that "our representatives are trained and they do not lie" and "our representatives would never say that you can cancel at any time". I would not recommend their service to anyone and can't believe they operate this way. Their sales **** and account managers blatantly lie and do not care that they are charging you when you can no longer afford it.

1 starI am writing to express my deep concern regarding the predatory business practices of your company, which I find to be both unethical and potentially bordering on illegal.Firstly, there is no notification provided to customers with the exact date as to when their contracts are due for renewal. This places the entire burden on the customer to remember the exact renewal date. What is most troubling, however, is the absence of a straightforward method to cancel the contract through your website. Instead, customers are required to send an email to your support team to initiate cancellation. In my case, it took three emails and five days before I received a response. When support finally did respond, I was informed that a five-business-day notice is required to cancel the contract. I find this practice to be highly unethical, especially when compared to the ease of canceling services such as cable, phone, and other similar contracts, which can typically be done within minutes online or via a representative. After numerous exchanges with a representative named *************************, I have yet to receive written confirmation that my contract has been terminated. While there is significant pressure during the contract signing process, it seems that support becomes unresponsive when a customer wishes to cancel, and my representative appears to have disappeared.Furthermore, I strongly believe that the return on investment is far below what was promised by your sales team. I have read numerous reports of false leads and of people filing formal complaints with the ************************* This discrepancy, combined with the aforementioned issues, leads me to conclude that your business practices are, at best, shady and, at worst, unethical.I urge you and ************************* to immediately address these concerns promptly and provide a written confirmation of my contract's termination.Thank you.

Stay away from advertising with The Knot and Wedding Pro. I am a vendor who did advertise with them for years. Although they started raising my fee without my consent, notifying me, sending a contract or having me sign it. When I requested a yearly contract, they said it’s on their website, but it was no where to be found and they kept charging me. I tried to cancel my listing, and I canceled my payments with my bank. Now they are trying to have a collection agency collect what they say is what I owe them even though I never agreed to pay them in the first place! Total scam. Stay away!

I signed up for WeddingPro (The Knot / WeddingWire) in January 2025 after a rushed sales call while I was at work. I was never clearly told I would be locked into a 12-month contract that I couldn’t cancel. The rep pushed me to quickly click and agree to terms, but never disclosed that I’d be financially locked in for a full year.
Since then, I’ve spent over $1,100 and received zero bookings. Most of the “inquiries” I received were generic, mass-sent messages with no real engagement or follow-up. When I tried to cancel, I was told I’d have to pay for the entire year even though the service brought me no value.
I made multiple requests to escalate the issue and speak to someone else — instead, I was just looped back to the same rep who dismissed my concerns. I asked for access to the recorded sales call to confirm whether the 12-month term was disclosed, and they refused to share it.
I’ve now filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection agencies. I’m not asking for a refund, just to stop future payments and exit a contract I was never clearly informed of.
If you’re a small business or creative professional, I strongly urge you to be cautious before signing anything with WeddingPro. Their sales tactics are misleading and their customer service is evasive once you’re locked in.
